Kabsa is one of the most famous oriental dishes that are prepared in the Arab region, especially in the Gulf states, as it is considered the main traditional meal in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is cooked with long-grain rice plus chicken, lamb or goat, along with nuts such as cashews, pine nuts and almonds, as well as added to it Raisins, ghee, and many spices such as cardamom, saffron, nutmeg, and black lemon "lumi", among others, which are delicious food that serves hot guests in various social occasions, weddings and banquets. 

Kabsa is also known by other names in the Arabian Gulf such as pressed and pressed, and sometimes it is called "applied" but by substituting meat for fish or shrimp, and Kabsa gives the body a high nutritional value; it contains a percentage of proteins, carbohydrates and trans fats, and a quantity of calories, the following is a method Prepared on the Saudi way.


Ingredients :

1)   1/2 Kg Basmati Rice
2)   120 gram Vegetable Cooking Oil 
3)   Salt as per Taste
4)   1 whole chicken cut into 4 parts 
5)   3 Onion 
6)   1 Cinnamon stick
7)   1 tablespoon Black pepper 
8)   2 tablespoon Bay leaf 
9)   1 Clove ram
10)  2 tablespoons Kabsa spices masala 
11)  2 tablespoon Garam Masala
12)  2  dry black lemon
13)  4 tablespoons Tomato Paste
14)  2 tablespoons Mixed spices Masala


Cooking Method:

1) To boil the chicken, warm the oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat and stir the chicken until it changes color. 

2)  Add the onion, cinnamon stick, salt, black pepper, bay leaf, clove ram and kabsa spices & garm masala

3) Immerse the ingredients in water and press the pot for 25 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked. 

4) Mix in a bowl of yogurt, tomato paste, oil, salt and spices until the ingredients overlap.

 5) Drain the chicken pieces in an oven tray and pour the yogurt mixture over them.

 6) Insert the tray into a preheated oven over medium heat until the chicken pieces are roasted.

 7) To prepare the rice, warm the oil in a saucepan over medium heat, and stir the rice for 5 minutes.

 8)  Pour 3 cups of chicken broth and cook with salt.

 9) When the mixture boils, reduce the heat and cover the pan until the rice absorbs all fluids and is cooked. 

10) Pour the rice into a serving dish, and decorate the side with chicken pieces.
